Cody Rhodes - A Look at His Personality
After a brief stint in the independent circuit, Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022. He portrayed Stardust and won the Royal Rumble match, defeating Seth Rollins.
He’s well-spoken, carries himself professionally, and looks the part of a global ambassador. WWE loves stars that can go beyond the ring, and Rhodes has the potential to become one.
He’s a great personality
Cody Rhodes has always been a fun character in the ring, and his personality is just as good outside it. He’s a great storyteller and can make even the most mundane things interesting. He also has a good sense of humor, and he’s not afraid to poke fun at himself or his opponents.
As a heel, Cody is a real jerk. He has a massive ego, and he thinks he’s the picture of perfection. When he was masked, he would often break out in psychotic laughs that almost veered into Batman villain territory.
He’s also a pretty nice guy when it comes to kids. He’s been known to sign autographs after shows, and he’s been very friendly with the children that come up to him. He’s also a huge fan of comic books, and he often talks about them during his matches. He’s also a big fan of Star Wars. He’s known to reference the movies during his matches, and he has even dressed up as Yoda for one of his matches.
He’s a great character
As well as being a very talented wrestler, Cody is also an excellent character. He’s the kind of guy who knows how to sell a story and will do whatever it takes to get the crowd on his side.
He’s a good-looking man and is always well-dressed (usually in three piece suits). He can be a little bit of a douchebag sometimes, but generally he’s a pretty nice guy outside of the ring and has a good sense of humor.
He was part of the original Bullet Club and has been a key member of All Elite Wrestling since leaving WWE in 2016. He’s also made an impact on both Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. He’s one of the biggest stars in both worlds and is a true game changer.
He’s a great talent
The son of wrestlers Dusty Rhodes and Brandi, Cody Rhodes is one of the best talents to ever hit the wrestling ring. He has a unique style that makes him stand out from other performers. In addition to his in-ring abilities, Rhodes has an incredibly good look and charisma.
In 2007, he signed with WWE, where he adopted various gimmicks and worked through minor storylines before becoming a part of D-Generation X (DX) with Triple H. He also worked as a member of the heel (baddie) stable The Legacy alongside Goldust and DiBiase.
In 2022, Rhodes returned to WWE as the American Nightmare. He was able to build a loyal audience on the independent circuit before he was brought in to play a major role in the launch of All Elite Wrestling three years later. In AEW, Rhodes has won the AEW World Championship twice and ended Roman Reigns’ long reign as the WWE Universal Champion.
He’s a great crossover star
When Cody Rhodes is in the ring, he draws crowd reactions and spikes TV ratings. He also has a high merchandising pull, which is important to WWE. His appearances also lead to a spike in social media engagement, and these are metrics that matter to the company.
After leaving WWE, Rhodes worked on the independent circuit for companies like Northeast Wrestling, Pro Wrestlin Guerrilla, What Culture Pro Wrestling and the ROH World Championship. He also worked for TNA/Impact and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he was part of the Bullet Club and won several titles.
He made a comeback to WWE in 2013 and formed a tag team with his brother Dustin, who was then known as Goldust. They were a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion. The duo then began appearing as Stardust, an eccentric persona that better reflected their personalities and chemistry. They went on to win a few more titles before losing the belts at Battleground 2013. They would later recapture them, but lost them again at WrestleMania 26.
