Haunted Jukebox: Attack of the Rockin’ Zombies

Haunted Jukebox: Attack of the Rockin’ Zombies brings together eight wonderfully strange vintage rock ’n’ roll and rockabilly sides from an era when monsters, vampires and zombies invaded the teenage jukebox. The Salmas Brothers kick open the crypt with Zombie followed by The Duponts’ Screamin’ Ball (At Dracula Hall), Billy Taylor & The Tear Drops’ gloriously titled Wombie Zombie and Billy Ford & The Thunderbirds’ The Monster. The Moontrekkers turn up the shadows with Joe Meek’s eerie Night Of The Vampire, before Danny Zella’s Rockers, The Fabulous Five and The Crewnecks complete the invasion with Youngster Meets Monster, Janie Made A Monster and Rockin’ Zombie. It is a fabulous little snapshot of the moment when rock ’n’ roll collided with horror movies, teenage monster crazes and wonderfully daft novelty records — eight tracks filled with pounding rhythms, spooky sound effects, wild imagination and a distinctly vintage sense of fun. Remastered in 2026 and gathered together by Blue Century Records, Attack of the Rockin’ Zombies is made for Halloween nights, old monster movies and anyone who likes their rock ’n’ roll with one foot in the grave.
